On February 26, 2008, Mrs. Sophia John, the wife of the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, represented the U.S. Embassy at a sculpture dedication at Sathira Dhammasathan, a women’s shelter on the outskirts of Bangkok.
.....Keenly interested in charity, Mrs. John and Mae Chee Sansanee, the well-known Buddhist nun and peace advocate, found they had much in common in their concern for unwed mothers, and abused women and children..

The unveiling of visiting artist Katherine Sandnas’ sculpture donation, Effigy VI, was to honor the anniversary of 175 Years of U.S.-Thai Friendship and to pay tribute to Mae Chee Sansanee’s wonderful work. In celebrating the calming effects of the female form, Effigy VI symbolizes the heartfelt dedication that Mrs. John, Mae Chee Sansanee and Katherine Sandnas share to help women and children in need.

This is all very interesting....US Citizen, wife of the Ambassador donating US Taxpayers
assets to a 'celebrity buddhist nun'...not even the thai's give money to this woman; and why
is the ambassadors wife not interested in the plight of US Citizen crime victims, abused, abandoned, and marooned as crime victims and unprotected by the Embassy from falling into the debtors prison of thai immigration police [many of whom are ex-drug suppression police involved in the execution of 'bad guys' false targeted thais of chiangmai...] Thailand is not a signee of the
United Nations Hague Accord for Human Rights yet openly violates everyones rights.
